Rewarding Children from a Performance Group
On June 16, Jenni Mosier’s company, Sunshine Generation, honored the children who perform as a part of the group with their annual year end recital and awards show. Mosier explained that Sunshine Generation is a children’s performing group that teaches the fundamentals of song and dance to children ages 3 through teen with the goal of building confidence and self-esteem. They “do not compete but perform around the community at care homes, festivals, malls and events.”
In order to put together this momentous event for the kids, Mosier booked a theatre and ordered tickets from Eventgroove. The red Year General Admission Ticket reflected the Spring/Summer theme of the event. Mosier said that the group invites “all of our friends and family to watch us perform, show off our new skills and receive an award. All children are rewarded for their efforts.”
In order to ensure that everyone knew about the event, Mosier sends the “families emails and newsletters to invite all of their friends and family to our show and of course encouraging the kids to invite their friends, family, teachers, etc.”
For Mosier, all the hard work is worth it because of the kids. “The kids are so proud of their accomplishments over the year and are so excited to perform for everyone they’ve invited. Their excitement over the fact that they receive an award is my favorite part! The parents are so happy with their child’s progress as well,” she explained.
Mosier’s advice to other event planners is to “Use your company! I was so pleased when I received my tickets, at a fair price, promptly! As a director of Sunshine Generation, I often deal with frustrating companies that have poor customer service. This was not the case!” She also added that the “tickets look professional and added that touch to our show. It also made it more “official” and helped me keep track of payments so that the cost of the theatre rental was covered.”
